Organic Mediterranean Pine Nuts

Let yourself be enveloped by the unique taste of BIO ETHNOS PINE NUTS. Pine nuts are an excellent source of minerals, vitamins and fatty acids that are allies of cardiovascular health. Rich in vitamin E, they provide antioxidant protection and help the proper functioning of the metabolism. Their monounsaturated fats help reduce “bad” cholesterol. Argan oil

Caratteristiche: considered one of the rarest oils in the world, Argan oil is a fragrant and vigorous oil, produced mainly in Morocco from the nuts of the Argan plant. Traditionally used in Berber and Moroccan cuisine, Argan oil is slightly darker than olive oil, with reddish hues and an aromatic fragrance. It possesses many health benefits and is also used as a skin care product.

Ideale: this type of oil can be poured directly over the dish before serving or mixed in soups, couscous or tajines.

Avocado oil

ORGANIC

Caratteristiche: fruity oil typical of South America, with a light delicate consistency and a bright green color.

Curiosity: avocado oil is known to have characteristics very similar to olive oil, including low acidity, which favor its use in artisanal soap making.

Ideal: thanks to the fresh and fragrant aroma typical of the fruit, it is especially recommended for dressing salads, marinades, pasta, grilled fish and meat. A drizzle of this oil will be enough to add a surprising taste.

Sesame oil

Characteristics: typical of Asian cuisines, where it is used both as a condiment and in cooking, sesame oil has the typical taste and aroma of the seed from which it is extracted.

Curiosity: in the sixth century BC, the wealthy Assyrians used sesame oil as a condiment, ointment and medicine.

Ideal: excellent for preparing recipes based on chicken or white meat, Thai rice, tofu, salads of various vegetables with soy sprouts and pumpkin seeds. Its toasted and sweet aroma will give your dishes a sophisticated oriental note.

Walnut oil

ORGANIC

Characteristics: walnut oil is an excellent source of omega 3 fatty acids, which contribute to the maintenance of normal levels of cholesterol in the blood, thanks to alpha linolenic acid. Ensure ideal results by taking 2 grams of alpha linolenic acid daily, (equal to 15g of walnut oil)

Ideal: its rich aromatic fragrance makes it perfect for salad dressing, for flavoring fish and steaks, for seasoning pasta and for spicing up desserts. It is mostly used raw or with cold sauces, because when heated it can become slightly bitter. However, this fragrance can be pleasant if used in moderation.

Pumpkin oil

Characteristics: pumpkin seed oil is considered a real delicacy in countries such as Austria and Germany, where a few drops are usually used in the kitchen to season soups and other local dishes. This dark green oil has a fruity and slightly spicy taste, and is rich in unsaturated fats. The replacement of saturated fat with unsaturated fat in the diet contributes to the maintenance of blood cholesterol.

Characteristics: obtained from the seeds of the hemp plant, it is extracted by cold pressing of the seeds, necessary to protect the unmistakable profile of the oil.

Curiosity: it has been shown to be effective in the treatment and prevention of various diseases such as high cholesterol, being a source of Omega-3 fatty acids, which contribute to the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels in the blood, thanks to alpha linolenic acid. Ensure ideal results by taking 2 grams of alpha linolenic acid daily, (equal to 13g of hemp oil)

Ideal: its toasted taste with only a few drops will stand out your soups, sautéed dishes and pasta. It's great for baked potatoes and vegetables, and great for all kinds of sauces.

Characteristics: The unrefined chia seed oil is rich in highly assimilable fatty acids, Omega 3 and Omega 6, or essential fatty acids that our body is unable to synthesize.

Fun Fact: Use it as a moisturizer, soothing and protective.

Ideal: Its delicate and fruity flavor makes it ideal for dishes such as raw or grilled vegetables and even for desserts; suitable for sweet or savory recipes.

Flaxseed oil

Characteristics: The oil extracted from flax seeds has been known since ancient Greece as an important supplement of fundamental nutritional elements. In particular, it is rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential fatty acids, which thanks to alpha linolenic acid contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. Take 2g per day for an ideal effect (equal to 4g of linseed oil)

Peculiarity: Its beneficial properties must be preserved by keeping the dark bottles well protected from light and heat.

Ideal: Used strictly raw on delicate dishes such as salads and white meats. For a richer breakfast and to take advantage of its properties as a supplement, you can add 1-2 teaspoons to muesli and yogurt.

Coconut oil

ORGANIC

 

Characteristics: this particular oil, which at room temperature is in the solid stage and becomes liquid as soon as it is heated, is extracted from the dried pulp of the coconut. It is usually used in the kitchens of tropical areas. Thanks to the typical sweet and delicate taste it will give your recipes an unmistakable touch.

Ideal: suitable for the preparation of both sweet and savory dishes, it is excellent combined with soups based on legumes and cereals, meat, vegetables, smoothies and sauces. Thanks to its resistance to high temperatures it is a valid substitute for butter in the preparation of baked desserts and can also be used for frying.
